Coverage Plots

This map shows the approximate system receive coverage at 440 MHz.  Only eastern Goleta though Montecito are pictured.  Reds equal S9 and above, greens and yellows equal S6 to S8, light blues equal S4 to S5, dark blues equal S3, whites equal no coverage.  Goleta is mostly in green and yellow.  A small portion of lower Santa Barbara and most of Montecito is in red, and so is most of the offshore areas.  Most of Santa Barbara is green, except portions of the mesa which are pictured in blue.

Highway 101 is red from Montecito though Carpinteria.  Most of Carpinteria is red within a couple of the beach.  Inland from the beach, Summerland and Carpinteria are mostly yellow.  These areas turn green and then blue near the mountains.

This map shows a wide view (Goleta though Carpinteria) of the approximate system coverage on 2 meter SSB. Goleta, and Carpinteria are mostly red, except for portions along the foothills, which are mostly yellows and greens.  Santa Barbara is mostly red, except for the back side of the mesa and Riviera, which are yellow, green and a little blue.  Montecito and Summerland are mostly red.

This map shows a very wide view (Lompoc though Ventura) of the approximate system coverage on 2 meter SSB (weak signal). Goleta,though Ventura are mostly red, which equates to S4 to S4.  North of the Santa Ynez Montains most areas are colored in yellows, greens and blues which equate to S4 to S1.

Approximate system two meter SSB coverage (weak signal, wider area version).  Reds equal S4 to S5, greens and yellows equal S3 to S4, blues equal S1 or less.  All S unit measurements are approximate.
