Crowd Attends
Semi-annual Breakfast

Twenty five people enjoyed our semi-annual breakfast at Cody's Restaurant in Goleta on July 3.  These gatherings have become a fixture in the local ham radio scene, and everyone always has a great time.  These events almost organize themselves, and there is never any lack of participation.

This year, K9KBX and N6KTH showed off their portable stations in the parking lot.  Dave set up his 6 meter beam and military surplus log periodic antenna (2 through 6 meters).  He made dozens of contacts with this station at Field Day.

Videos: K9KBX, KD6OVS, KA6RPN/WB6OBB (there are big files, so give them time to load).

Large Crowd Attends
Second Anniversary Breakfast
(December 2009)

Thirty four People attended our second anniversary breakfast at Cody's Restaurant on December 5, 2009, and we gave away some truly fabulous door prizes!  The staff from Cody's had to bring in extra tables to accommodate the overflow crowd, and everyone had a great time.  Both Elk and M2 Antennas donated the main door prizes (see below).  Few of us thought two years ago that our net would last so long and be so popular!  We continue to go strong, as we enter our third year.  Many thanks to Dave (K9KBX) for his ongoing support of the net.  Thanks also to our sponsors Elk and M2 Antennas, plus Michael (WA6RQV) and to an anonymous donor for their support of the door prizes.
